Use Turnips
in soups, stews, casseroles, pasties, baked, roasted, boiled, steamed, mashed and taste great added to stir fry. Young fresh turnips can be eaten raw in salads and sides.

Turnips have been popular for many centuries, highly regarded in many cuisines, especially French and Japanese.  They have a delicate flavour when young and these flavours get stronger in older turnips.

Storage
Refrigerate in plastic bags.

Preparation
Young and fresh turnips don’t need peeling.  The larger and stronger flavoured turnips are recommend for peeling.

Turnips are an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, folate, copper, calcium and dietary fibre. As well as being an excellent immune booster.
