Use Parsnips: in soups, stews, casseroles, baked, roasted, boiled,  steamed, puree, mashed, sauteed, added to stir fry, salads and even made into cakes.

Appearance: Dark purple skin, firm flesh

Use Beetroot: juiced, baked, roasted, boiled, steamed, shredded, pickled, made into relish, added to stir fry and salads.



Variety Grown: Purple Top White Globe

Appearance: Smooth off-white with purple tops

Use Turnips: in soups, stews, casseroles, pasties, baked, roasted, boiled, steamed, mashed and taste great added to stir fry. Young fresh turnips can be eaten raw in salads and sides.

Appearance: Smooth cream /pale yellow skin with deep purple crown

Use Swede: in soups, stews, casseroles, baked, pasties, roasted, boiled, steamed, mashed, added to stir fry and is delicious finely sliced in salads.

Appearance: Smooth, Long Straight White with a Tinge of Green on the Crown

Use Daikon: in soups, pickled, stir fry, salads and many Asian favourite dishes – including Dim Sum and Yum Cha, Miso Soup, Kimchi, Singapore Carrot Cake.
